Bach Flower remedies were developed by a British medical practitioner Edward Bach (1880-1936). The floral remedies are aimed more at curing disturbed emotional states and disharmonies of personality, rather than physical conditions.
Principle
Every person has a mortal personality and an immortal soul. A person's nobler side or higher self guides the personality, so that there is harmony and balance between the personality and the soul. When these two are in harmony, there is health. Health manifests itself in the form of virtues like gentleness, firmness, courage, joyfulness, constancy and purposefulness. When there is disharmony with the soul, the personality gets afflicted with various defects like pride, self-love, cruelty, greed, hatred, ignorance, etc. Disease is the result.
The Bach Flower remedies restore positive emotions and virtues to the personality, thus removing negative moods. In turn, physical disease also gets better conditions in which to be cured, and total health may be restored.
Administration of Remedy
A single action pump spray is often a convenient form of application for mouth, drink or skin application. Aspire prefer to use this method of application for their clients.
The remedies have no side effects.
Remedies should be changed as the person's mood changes. Sometimes the disease may get aggravated, as in homoeopathy. There is no need to panic. Reduce the dosage or stop the remedy for some time. Chronic diseases may take some time to cure. Do not lose patience.
Remedies are available at homoeopathic pharmacies but specialised assistance is recommended in order to get an accurate prescription.
Diagnosis and prescription
An experienced practitioner is always recommended to be consulted. Many folk who feel the need for a remedy also need assistance in identifying their core concerns and emotions. Life is not simple, and feeling unhappy or being troubled with an uncomfortable feeling or emotion is seldom simply 'fixed' by just taking a remedy. See our more extensive download guide.
Within Aspire, we often use an extensive questionnaire that is exceptionally useful. It identifies varying emotional states, congruency, and diffidence within clients and is very accurate in identifying appropriate remedies. See our download questionnaire.
